Product Change Notification 01

This Product Change Notification (PCN) applies to the following Aquagenx Field Kit Products:

• Basic Field Kit, FK-BFK02
• Basic Field Kit-No Arsenic, FK-BFK02NA
• Basic Refill Kit, FK-BRK02 
• Basic Refill Kit-No Arsenic, FK-BRK02NA

Since 2017, Aquagenx has included the ExTech FL700 Meter and FL704 Reagents.  This meter and reagents use an electrochemical process to determine the fluoride concentrations in small water samples.  Effective 22 September, 2023 Aquagenx will discontinue the Extech product and replace it with the Hanna Instruments HI739 High Range Fluoride Colorimeter – Checker® and associated reagents.  This tool is based on adding reagents to create a change in color of the water sample to deliver a quantified value for fluoride concentration.

The two Basic Field Kits, FK-BFK02 and FK-BFK02NA, will now contain:

• 1 HI739 Fluoride Colorimeter
• 1 HI739-11 HC Calibration Check Set
• 4 HI739-26 Fluoride High Range Checker HC Reagents (25 tests per reagent set)

They will no longer contain:

• 1 Extech FL700 Fluoride Meter
• 1 FL704 Reagents (100 Tablets)

The two Basic Refill Kits, FK-BRK02 and FK-BRK02NA, will now contain:

• 4 HI739-26 Fluoride High Range Checker HC Reagents (25 tests per reagent set)

They will no longer contain

• 1 FL704 Reagents (100 Tablets)
